What VeriFactu is, plainly
-
Every invoice, recorded
The program saves every receipt and invoice so it can't be deleted or changed behind your back.
-
With its QR code
Every document carries a QR code your client can use to check with the tax office that it has been declared.
-
Sent to the tax office
The record reaches the Tax Agency straight away, with nothing for you to file by hand.
Who does it affect?
Every business that charges with a program
VeriFactu applies to companies and self-employed people who issue their receipts or invoices with a program on a computer, a tablet or a till with software. The program must record each document so it can't be altered and send it to the tax office. The Basque Country and Navarre have their own system.
The Anti-Fraud Law provides for fines of up to €50,000 a year for using invoicing software that doesn't comply.
Dates
When do you have to comply with VeriFactu?
These are the VeriFactu dates in Spain. See which one is yours.
-
Invoicing software
DameHora already issues with VeriFactu
Since this date, invoicing software has to comply. With Bilteo, every payment comes with its VeriFactu receipt.
-
Companies
Arrive with the year already running
Businesses that pay corporate tax. Better to start early than to switch software in January.
-
Freelancers
Get ready in one afternoon
Freelancers and every other business. Connect Bilteo, charge as usual and you are done.
On Oct. 5, 2026 the Spanish tax agency announced it wants to move the two remaining dates to October 2028, together with mandatory e-invoicing. Until it is published in the BOE, these dates still apply.
It does not apply to you if
- You already send your invoices to the tax agency through the SII.
- You pay tax in Álava, Bizkaia or Gipuzkoa, where TicketBAI is used.
- You pay tax in Navarre, which has its own system.
- You write your invoices by hand, with no software at all.
With DameHora, in three steps
-
Connect Bilteo
From Settings you give permission in Bilteo and choose your company. No keys to copy, nothing to set up.
-
Charge the appointment
As always, with services, products and payment method and the prices already filled in.
-
Bilteo does the rest
It numbers it, adds the QR, records it with VeriFactu and sends it to the tax office. The document stays in the sale.
What you gain
You type nothing twice
The sale you have just charged is the one invoiced, with the same amounts.
Receipt or invoice, your choice
A receipt by default. If the customer gives you their tax number, a full invoice.
They ask for an invoice later?
You turn the receipt into an invoice without repeating the sale.
VAT, worked out properly
Every service and product carries its VAT rate, and Bilteo breaks it down.
You know whether the tax office received it
The VeriFactu status shows in the sale itself. If something fails, it tells you.
If you get it wrong, it gets fixed
A refund or a cancelled payment issues its corrective invoice from the sale and it is recorded as it should be.

Yes. A simplified receipt by default and a full invoice when the client gives their details. You can also turn a receipt into an invoice later.
